Couch Potatoes Unite

I just looked up the definition. According to Dictionary.com it’s a person whose leisure time is spent watching television. I don’t watch much Tv, but when I do, I’m all in. The key to the two-word catch phrase is couch. I’ve owned many over the years and realize owning a sectional is key; having two angles in the room giving me two different perspectives is a good one.

A month ago, I went to Z Gallerie and purchased this amazing couch.  Literally, I had never sat on it until it showed up at my home. I love everything about it…the color, the cushions, the style, and the fact that it’s not a fortune. Various children, their friends, dinner party attendees, and two dogs can sit and bounce on it, and I won’t feel bad when it’s trashed five years from now.

My feet are up, my computer is on my lap…the TV is on, and the dogs are sitting next to me…my kids are with their father…best Saturday afternoon in awhile.

The potato part of the catchphrase also makes me think about dinner.  Should I prepare one of my favorites potato au gratinbaked potatopotato soupsalt and vinegar potatoesextra crispy tossed potatoes, or the ever-loving and – God bless this recipe – the mashed potato?

I have tried them all and thank you Wolfgang Puck, Famed Cook, Honey and Jam, Umamagirl, and Pioneer Woman for providing me with the most delicious, calorie-induced and fabulous recipes that everyone gobbles up.

Couch potato lives on!
